Farewell To Lefty Thumbbreaker
It was sad news to hear that Lefty Thumbbreaker decided to quit playing Mafia Wars. Lefty has been a fixture in Mafia Wars since the beginning. Lefty is the creator and author of OGP Mafia Wars Tools Suite or OGP as most refer to it. Below is a reprint of what Lefty had to say about his departure from the game. I hope somebody at Zynga reads his words and understands that many passionate and loyal players just like Lefty are leaving the game.
OGP Users - After much consideration, I have decided to quit playing Mafia Wars. This was not an easy decision for me to make, but the fun that I used to have playing has now become nothing more than a chore. I have actually only "played" once in the last month and that was primarily to identify and fix changes in the script that were needed. My real life has taken over and I don't have the free time that I need to continue to play.Along with leaving Mafia Wars, this means that I will no longer be supporting OGP MWTS and that Version 3 is on hold indefinitely. I know that a lot of you have come to depend on OGP and the hole I'm about to leave made this decision even that much harder. With 6,500 distinct users per week, I know that I'm going to affect a lot of people, and for that I'm truly sorry.
I want to thank everyone for the support that they've given me over the last few years in developing OGP and making it better with each release. I've made some good friends throughout the process and Lefty's FB page will remain active, never know when I might get some time to either catch up with MW or some other game.

If you would like to leave a farewell message to Lefty or read what others have said, go here. I asked Lefty if he would ever consider returning to the game. He said he wouldn't rule out the possibility if Mafia Wars could be fun again. The good news for OGP fans is the script is still available. Lefty just won't be updating it anymore. He knows there are many players who rely on his tool so he is going to put it out there and challenge the coders in the community. The OGP (One Guy Production) Tools can be found here.
I want to thank everyone for the kind words and encouragement for my future. I always knew you all were out there, it's too bad that I had to quit to hear from some of you. I have had several requests already from people willing to take over the script and I would be very happy to see it continue on. Once I get some cleanup on the script done, it will be released to the public for anyone to take and do what they want. My guess is that it's going to be a big competition on who can decipher my code first and get it fixed.
More to come...
